Karen Frechou Fitness Coach and Weight Loss Coach

Meet Karen Frechou

I believed it would make it all better

I believed it was “fun”

I believed I deserved it

I believed I just loved food

I believed it was just in my genes

I believed I was not athletic

I believed I’d always have to worry, to weigh,
to measure, to count, to be careful…

I believed it would always be a struggle

But Now… Now I Know Better.

I know that it didn’t make it better.

I know that I didn’t need it to have fun.

I know that I don’t ever deserve to treat myself poorly with food or otherwise.

I know the thing that’s in my genes is not the number on the scale but the power to live the life I wanted without the burden of the weight.

I know that I have found an athleticism within me that is on par with the desire and commitment of some of the best athletes I know.

I know that every time I choose to put aside the struggle, the worry, the measuring cups and spoons and food scales and points systems – something happens that feels less like a struggle and more like freedom.

And when THAT happens – the weight loss is inevitable.

I Want This For You.

I found my answers not by a new diet, but by “digging in” and exploring why I was making these choices about food in the first place. And I couldn’t have done it without my coach.

Coaching not only ended my battle with my body, but has changed the quality of my life for good.

It’s Not About Willpower.

Today, I have the privilege of coaching people just like you along their journey to a more ideal weight and a healthier happier lifestyle. One of the biggest lessons I learned was that losing the weight wasn’t about willpower or about restricting myself from eating foods that I really enjoyed. But instead, I learned that the more I found ways to “fill up” my life, the less compelled I was to want to “fill up” on food.

Yes, it really can be that simple.
And sometimes in can be really very hard.

Don’t get me wrong – this wasn’t ever always about having happy thoughts and pounds magically disappearing, I worked – and sometimes still do. But this kind of work felt good to do. It felt clean and good and free.

I’ve been where you are…

Whether you have a stubborn 15 pounds or over 100 pounds to lose, I have found through personal experience as well as in hundreds of hours of coaching clients that the pain of the struggle to lose weight and keep it off can be incredibly painful and frustrating. As I watch each of my clients leave behind them the diet mentality and the constant fight with the scale, there is nothing I enjoy more than seeing them find that taste of freedom and the pounds begin to fall.
